The Origin of the Camping Dog

For years we had a dream of buying a campervan and riding off in to the sunset with our dog beside us. Fastforward to 2024 and we were so lucky to not only to have a campervan but Bramble was born minutes down the road. After one visit we new she would be part of the family.

Bramble is the ultimate adventure dog and brings joy, enrichment and laughter to everything we do. Although nervous at first she has learnt to swim, paddleboard and other activities and being on or in the water is now arguably her favourite activity along with snug snugs.

At The Camping Dog we are advocates for always bringing the dog too. We want to encourage other dog owners to take their dogs on adventures, enjoy spending time sharing their passions and hobbies with their furry companions.

About Our Anti-Tick Collars

The anti tick dog collars are designed from EM (Effective Microorganisms) ceramic beads and paracord.

EM® technology was developed by Japanese scientist Dr Teruo Higa, comprising three key groups of microbes - yeast, photosynthetic bacteria and Lactic Acid bacteria.

The ceramic beads are made by fermenting clay with these microorganisms and then baking it at high temperatures. This process traps the microorganisms within the ceramic matrix. The EM-ceramic beads emit far infrared (FIR) waves.  the longest invisible wavelengths in the light spectrum. Compatible with human and animal tissue, far infrared waves are easily absorbed and penetrate the tissue up to 7.5cm deep, where they help to improve blood circulation and create a healthy skin microbiome.

Our anti-tick collar offer a possible solution for anyone wanting to repel ticks and fleas in a practical manner, by also using a paracord collar which is tough and durable. The collars are ideal for anyone wishing to avoid the direct use of harmful chemicals, even digested or topical with the known issues these cause to the animals subjected to them and to the environment they pollute.

Collar Instructions

The collar takes 4-6 weeks to become fully effective.

It needs to ideally be kept on the dog at all times, and only be removed for short periods - for example to clean the collar.

The collar must only be cleaned with water 1-2 times a week and dried in the sun.

Soaps and shampoos can interfere with the effectiveness of the beads.

It is fine to be worn swimming!
